Stacey Marie, Owner, CMT, MLA, BA

Massage Therapy is not my first career. I have a Bachelors and Masters degree from The University of Melbourne (Australia) and had been practicing in the architecture / engineering field for over ten years. Although, I had enjoyed working in this field, I felt my calling in massage & healing truly fulfilled my soul.

My approach to massage draws on my experience in designing structures taking into consideration the strengths and limitations of each subject. Sometimes i still feel like an Architect where the subject, is the body. I am a California State Certified Massage Therapist with over 500hrs of training focusing on Structural Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports, Trigger Point, Scar Tissue Cupping, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Certified in Prenatal Massage.  You can say my specialty is injuries and finding ways to provide relief.

My career change doesn’t end with massage, I am looking forward to exploring the topic of wellness and offering more services to the community. I am grateful to have landed where I belong, I am looking towards my future.

Cory Shaffer,  CMT

Cory is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, HHP, from Mueller College based in San Diego.

He approaches every therapeutic session as a problem solver; viewing the body as if it were a puzzle, and piecing the puzzle back together in symmetry. Keeping this in mind he meticulously works on the body correcting deviations and poor posture alignment while creating a relaxing experience in order to cooperate with the muscle fascia release.

Favoring the western therapeutic approach to body work, Cory utilizes Myoskeletal Alignment, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Myofascia and Sports Massage, while integrating stretching and mobilization at the request of the client.

Cory’s free time is spent cycling, hiking, going to the gym, rock climbing, and appreciating various genres of music while his choice instrument is the piano.

Catt Griffins,  CMT

After 10 years of working in child and family services, Catherine moved from the east coast to California to study massage.

She transformed her passion for helping others to a passion for bodywork. She is proficient in the modalities of therapeutic integrative massage, deep tissue, sports, shiatsu, acupressure, hot stone, cupping, prenatal and relaxation massage.

Her style is a therapeutic massage based on the various modalities that she has studied and her understanding of body assessment mixed together to meet clients individual needs. Her motivation is for each client to walk away from the massage feeling relaxed, balanced and rejuvenated.

Heather Thompson Burns

Heather has felt lucky to call Pacifica home since 2004. She and her husband, Max, have found great joy in watching their 2 daughters come to love and appreciate the community and natural beauty of Pacifica just as much as they do. When Heather is not busy mothering, teaching, or working as a massage therapist, you can find her hiking the Pacifica trails, practicing yoga at the local yoga studio, puttering in her creekside garden, or otherwise engaged in some creative endeavor.

Heather takes pride in her curiosity and her creative nature. As a massage therapist, she seeks to customize each massage in partnership with her client, with the goal of restoring and maintaining optimal health and peace.

Heather’s work as a massage therapist began in 1995. Heather started with a strong foundation in Shiatsu and Tui Na (Japanese and Chinese forms of body work) along with acupuncture at the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine. Even though Heather, a graduate of Indiana University with an art major and art history minor, was also pursuing a career as an art educator, she was fascinated by the body, mind, and spirit connection relating to health and wellness. She was compelled to study further- Qi Gong, yoga, Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, reflexology, Reiki, Cranio Sacral, Thai Massage, Hot Stone, aromatherapy, meditation and mindfulness, and the list goes on.
